Our program is rooted in three foundational pillars: Knowledge — understanding the science and history of Kambo deeply; Protection — mastering the safety protocols that keep clients safe; and Practical Application — building real hands-on competence through supervised practice.

8-Day Kambo Practitioner Training Curriculum
Each day begins at 9 AM with morning instruction (2–4 hours), a noon lunch break, and an afternoon session (2–4 hours). The curriculum is designed around three core pillars — Knowledge, Protection, and Practical Application — with increasing hands-on work as the week progresses.
Origins & Bio-Science
Explore Kambo's Amazonian roots and the biological mechanisms behind its power. You'll master how to discuss bioactive peptides and learn how to translate complex science into clear, grounded information for your future clients.
Safety & Vital Screening
Safety is our first pillar. Receive Kambo from master teachers while deep-diving into rigorous screening protocols. You'll learn to navigate contraindications to ensure every session meets the highest standards of professional responsibility.
The Art of Application
Transition to hands-on practice. Master the precision of point placement, burning techniques, and dosing strategies. Learn the nuances of self-application and how to facilitate a safe, comfortable purge process.
Holding Sacred Space
Kambo is as much about the spirit as the body. Learn to manage the energetic flow of a session, support emotional releases, and maintain a presence of calm authority when your clients are at their most vulnerable.
Community Practicum
Put your skills to the test. Under expert supervision, you will serve Kambo to members of the community, refining your technique and building the "muscle memory" required for professional-grade facilitation.
Ethics & Business Building
We cover the essentials of launching a practice, from ethical marketing and pricing to essential documentation and the Tribal Detox professional standards.
Mastery & Scenarios
Proof of proficiency. Through written evaluations and real-world "stress-test" scenarios, we ensure you have fully integrated the knowledge required to handle any situation with grace and safety.
Certification & Beyond
Walk across the finish line. After final supervised sessions and a formal graduation, you'll be officially certified, listed on our global practitioner directory, and welcomed into the Tribal Detox family.

Camila (Cami) Marini & Andrea Friedman
Cami and Andrea have been active, practicing Kambo practitioners in the Austin area since 2020, building one of the most respected Kambo practices in Texas. They were appointed as certified Tribal Detox Kambo Instructors — one of only a small number of instructor-level practitioners in the USA.
What sets them apart is their ongoing, living relationship with ancestral medicine. Both travel to Peru annually to deepen their practice with plant medicine traditions, bringing that knowledge directly into the training room. When you train with Cami and Andrea, you are learning from practitioners who are themselves still students — humble, deeply experienced, and genuinely committed to this medicine.

For our out-of-state and international students, we provide direct pickup and drop-off at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). Whether you're flying in from London, Mexico City, or across the US, we'll be there to meet you so your transition into the training is seamless.
On-Site Accommodations & Meals
During your training, you will be a guest in our home. You'll have your own comfortable private room on-site, access to a designated Kambo room for practice and ceremony, and home-cooked meals prepared personally by us — nutrient-dense, clean food specifically designed to optimize your body for the Kambo experience.

Professional Kambo Practitioner Certification
Our private enrollment process is selective, ensuring that every candidate possesses the foundational experience and physical suitability required for facilitation. We prioritize safety, integrity, and the professional application of traditional wellness protocols.
Establish Your Foundational Experience
Candidates must be 18 years or older and have a personal history with this tradition. To ensure you are prepared for the intensive nature of the mentorship, a minimum of three prior applications of Kambo is required. This certification is designed for those looking to deepen an existing relationship with the practice.
Comprehensive Safety Assessment
Safety is the cornerstone of our Austin-based Kambo school. All prospective students must complete the Tribal Detox health waiver to ensure Kambo is safe for you. This ensures that the traditional application is appropriate for your unique constitution and aligns with our rigorous safety standards. Secure Your Certification Placement
Following a successful consultation, a $600 non-refundable enrollment deposit is required to reserve your private dates. This investment covers your practitioner kit and all essential curriculum materials. This deposit is applied directly toward your total tuition.
Finalize Your Professional Investment
The remaining tuition balance — $3,700 for the Premium Private Experience or $3,000 for the Commuter Mentorship — is due 14 days prior to your start date. We offer bespoke scheduling to accommodate the busy calendars of our clients, wellness coaches, and medical professionals.
